This role is specifically designed for an individual adept at crafting compelling messages and effectively representing organizations to the public and media. You will be instrumental in developing communication strategies, preparing spokespeople, and managing public-facing communications, particularly in sensitive or high-profile situations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a deep understanding of media dynamics, and a proven ability to manage reputation. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and refine key messages and talking points for various audiences and situations.
- Train and prepare company spokespeople for media interviews and public appearances.
- Manage proactive and reactive media relations, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging.
- Draft press releases, statements, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, advising on strategic responses.
- Contribute to the development and execution of corporate communication strategies.
- Support crisis communication efforts, providing timely and strategic communication guidance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all external communications align with brand guidelines and organizational objectives.




- Stay abreast of current events and communication trends relevant to the organization.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, with a specific focus on spokesperson training and media management.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting effective messages and delivering them clearly.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Spanish; proficiency in English is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to train and prepare individuals for high-stakes media interactions.
- Strong understanding of media operations and journalistic practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in public speaking or debate is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the communication landscape in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, MX is beneficial but not required due to the remote nature of the role.
