About the Role

Our client, a major construction contractor, is seeking a diligent and experienced Industrial Safety and Hygiene Specialist to ensure a safe working environment across their sites in Naucalpan, State of Mexico . This role is critical for maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety among all personnel. The idóneo candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety standards within the construction industry, excellent inspection skills, and the ability to effectively train and communicate safety protocols. You will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, developing mitigation strategies, and responding to any safety incidents. This is a key position for safeguarding our workforce and ensuring project success in Naucalpan .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety and health programs for construction sites in Naucalpan .
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site.




- Maintain safety records and documentation, including risk assessments and training logs.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws and standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Advise project management on safety matters and implement necessary improvements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial safety and hygiene, with a strong focus on construction environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican safety regulations (NOMs) and best practices in construction safety.
- Proven ability to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., STPS certification) is required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Naucalpan, State of Mexico .
