About the Role

Our client, a leading national healthcare provider network, is seeking a highly specialized and dedicated Farmacéutico de Gestión de Medicamentos de Alto Riesgo Remoto to join their virtual care team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in managing high-risk medications from anywhere in Mexico. The role focuses on ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications such as anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, and chemotherapy agents, often requiring close monitoring and patient education. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented pharmacist with a deep understanding of complex pharmacotherapy and a passion for patient safety. This remote role offers the unique opportunity to impact patient outcomes significantly by providing expert pharmaceutical care and guidance to patients across the country, contributing to better health management and reduced adverse events. Your work will be essential in ensuring patients receive the best possible care, regardless of their location.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide specialized pharmaceutical care for patients using high-risk medications (e.g., anticoagulants, chemotherapy, immunosuppressants, injectables).
- Conduct virtual patient assessments to evaluate medication adherence, effectiveness, safety, and potential drug interactions.
- Develop and implement individualized medication management plans in collaboration with the patient and their prescribing physician.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the proper use of high-risk medications, potential side effects, monitoring requirements, and emergency protocols.
- Monitor patient outcomes and laboratory values to optimize therapy and prevent adverse events.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers through telehealth platforms to ensure coordinated care.
- Review and interpret diagnostic tests and patient data to inform medication adjustments.




- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in the electronic health record system.
- Stay current with evidence-based guidelines and advancements in the management of conditions treated with high-risk medications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the remote management of high-risk medications.

Requirements

- Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, with a valid professional license in Mexico.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pharmacist, with significant experience (at least 3 years) in clinical pharmacy, anticoagulation management, oncology pharmacy, or management of other high-risk drug therapies.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmacology, therapeutic uses, and safety profiles of various high-risk medications.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive medication reviews and develop effective patient care plans.
- Excellent telehealth and remote communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to build rapport with patients virtually.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for complex patient cases.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office environment are required.

This role is based out of Acapulco, Guerrero , but performed entirely remotely.
