About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Construction Site Manager (Jefe de Obra) to lead significant residential and commercial development projects in Mexicali, Baja California . This role is crucial for the successful execution of our construction endeavors, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations on site, managing resources, personnel, and ensuring a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations in Mexicali .
- Manage and coordinate the work of all site personnel, including direct hires and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and implementing measures to address any delays.
- Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used throughout the construction process.
- Control project costs, managing budgets and approving expenditures in accordance with company policy.




- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to maintain a secure and productive work environment.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth project progression.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in construction management, preferably on residential and commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in Mexicali or the Baja California region is a plus.
