Job Title: Direct Materials Procurement Specialist (Contract)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Direct Materials Procurement Specialist to support a high-priority supply chain initiative. This supplier-facing role will focus on managing material shortages, driving supply gap closures, negotiating additional supplier capacity, and providing supply risk visibility to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage supplier commitments and material coverage across short- and long-term planning horizons.
- Analyze supply coverage data and provide updates for business review meetings.
- Work with Supply Planning teams to manage allocations and mitigate shortages.
- Negotiate additional volumes, capacity increases, and production swaps with suppliers.
- Track and communicate supply risks, recovery plans, and mitigation actions.
- Perform root cause analysis on material shortages and support escalation activities.
- Present supplier recovery timelines, shortage status,



and procurement actions to stakeholders.
- Support decisions regarding potential customer communications related to supply constraints.

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or Supplier Management.
- Strong experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with shortage management, supply planning, and risk mitigation.
- Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, SAP, IBP, or similar planning tools preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
