About the Role

Our client, a renowned beachfront resort in the vibrant city of Acapulco, Guerrero , is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef Ejecutivo to support the Executive Chef in managing their diverse culinary operations. This role requires a creative individual with strong leadership capabilities and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen management, and team supervision, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for resort guests. Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food supplies to control costs and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Monitor food quality and consistency across all dishes.




- Collaborate with F&B; management to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
- Uphold the resort's reputation for culinary excellence.

Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar senior kitchen role, preferably in a resort or upscale restaurant environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of food costing, inventory control, and waste management.
- Proficiency in food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Creative flair and passion for gastronomy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work adaptable hours, including weekends and holidays, in Acapulco, Guerrero .
