About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Compliance and Ethics Attorney to join their fully remote legal team. This role is critical for establishing and maintaining a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, conducting investigations, and providing expert guidance on ethical standards and regulatory requirements. This is a remote-first position, allowing you to contribute significantly from anywhere in Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of compliance frameworks, corporate governance, and risk management. Our client is dedicated to fostering a transparent and ethical business environment and seeks a proactive legal professional to champion these values in a versátil, remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive ethics and compliance programs.
- Conduct internal investigations into alleged violations of company policies or regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on ethical conduct and compliance matters.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks across various business functions.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures related to ethics and compliance.
- Advise senior management on compliance strategies and best practices.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory agencies on compliance issues.




- Manage the company's whistleblower hotline and reporting systems.
- Promote a strong ethical culture and awareness throughout the organization.

Requirements

- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance, ethics, or a related legal field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion.
- Must have reliable internet connectivity and a dedicated workspace.
