Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software for air navigation and guidance systems.
- Implement complex algorithms for trajectory planning, sensor fusion, and performance monitoring.
- Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers in a distributed team environment.
- Ensure software compliance with stringent aviation standards (e.g., DO-178C).
- Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.
- Document software designs, code, and test procedures thoroughly.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in aviation software and navigation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on embedded or real-time systems.
- Proven experience developing software for safety-critical applications, preferably in the aerospace domain.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Ada.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development tools.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of navigation principles, Kalman filters, or control systems is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Must be legally authorized to work remotely from Oaxaca City, Oaxaca or any other location in Mexico.
