About the Role

Our client, a renowned agricultural producer and innovator, is seeking a highly skilled Agrónomo de Cultivos Especializados to contribute to their operations. This position, based in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX , focuses on the cultivation and management of high-value specialty crops, demanding a deep understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and advanced agronomic techniques. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of crop production, from planning and planting to harvesting and post-harvest handling, ensuring optimal quality and yield. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining essential on-site farm management and technical support with remote analysis, planning, and reporting. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for specialized crops.
- Manage all aspects of crop production, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest/disease control.

- Conduct field trials for new varieties, cultivation techniques, and crop protection strategies.
- Supervise field staff, providing training and guidance on best agricultural practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related agricultural field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in crop management, with specific expertise in specialty crops (e.g., berries, high-value vegetables, herbs, or niche fruits).
- Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, entomology, and plant pathology relevant to specialty crops.
- Experience with advanced irrigation and fertilization techniques.
- Excellent practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the region of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, MX .
