About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the financial services sector, is actively seeking a dedicated and expert Financial Risk Management Specialist to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Puebla, Puebla or other preferred locations, as long as you maintain excellent connectivity and can attend virtual meetings effectively. The role is crucial for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall financial stability and success of our client. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.
- Identify, analyze, and monitor various financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and stress testing.
- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into business processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging risks and market trends, providing proactive insights.
- Develop and deliver risk management training programs to staff.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in quantitative risk modeling (e.g., VaR, credit scoring, scenario analysis).
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
- Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating complex risk concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience in a fully remote work environment is highly preferred.
