About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Coordinador de Logística de Compras to manage the inbound logistics of purchased materials and components. This role, based in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco , is vital for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to our facilities, supporting production schedules, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The idóneo candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain coordination, and a keen understanding of transportation management and customs procedures. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the transportation of purchased goods from suppliers to company facilities, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with logistics providers (carriers, freight forwarders) to schedule shipments and optimize routes.
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to internal stakeholders, including procurement and production teams.
- Manage customs clearance processes for imported materials, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Optimize logistics costs through effective negotiation with carriers and route planning.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipment details, costs, and delivery times.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure alignment between procurement plans and logistics capabilities.




- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of inbound logistics.
- Manage and resolve any logistics-related issues or delays promptly.
- Support inventory management by ensuring timely receipt of materials.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or transportation management, with a focus on inbound logistics.
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, international shipping, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with carriers and suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
- Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
