About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Indirect Buyer to join their procurement team in Hermosillo, Sonora . This hybrid role is essential for managing the acquisition of goods and services that support our operational needs, excluding direct production materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing a wide range of indirect categories, including office supplies, IT equipment, professional services, and facility maintenance. You will focus on negotiating favorable contracts, managing supplier relationships, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities to optimize indirect spend. The position requires close collaboration with various internal departments to understand their specific needs and ensure timely procurement. This role offers a dynamic mix of on‑site presence for team collaboration and operational integration, combined with remote flexibility for administrative tasks and analysis. We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented professional with strong negotiation skills and a commitment to driving value through effective indirect procurement.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure a variety of indirect goods and services, including MRO, IT, travel, facilities, and professional services.
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers of indirect materials and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements with indirect suppliers.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities within indirect spend categories.
- Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the ERP system.




- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier data.
- Assist in developing category strategies for indirect spend.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in indirect procurement or purchasing.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts for indirect goods and services.
- Strong understanding of various indirect spend categories.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish required; English proficiency is a strong advantage.
