Ensure high material availability at optimal inventory levels for the site by leading materials planning and tactical purchasing (Kanban & long lead time items), driving MRP / planning discipline and supplier performance, in line with the North America SIOP strategy.

-Lead Materials Planning and Align with SIOP Strategy
-Lead Tactical Purchasing (Kanban & Long Lead Time Items)
-Own Kanban system design and performance (card sizing, reorder points, safety stock, container quantities).
-Manage normal PO process for long lead time items (forecast-based ordering, blanket orders, schedules).
-Own Supplier Performance and Order-Book Discipline.
-Drive Inventory Optimization; own inventory targets and results for the site (levels, coverage, turns, excess & obsolete).
-Business Owner for MRP and Planning Master Data.
-Drive Improvement Projects and Change
- Lead or sponsor planning and purchasing improvement projects (Kanban redesign, supplier rationalization, inventory reduction, MRP parameter optimization).
-Directly manage purchasing and planning team.
- Provide clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for purchasing team.

Experiencia y requisitos
-Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field; ASCM / APICS CPIM or CSCP a plus.
-7+ years in materials planning, purchasing or supply chain in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2–3 years leading buyers / planners or team leads (performance management, coaching, development).




-Solid understanding of SIOP / MRP concepts; able to translate demand plans into material and inventory plans and to align ordering decisions with forecasts, variability and capacity.
-Strong experience in tactical purchasing (PO management, blanket orders, schedules, expediting / de-expediting, supplier follow-up) and in enforcing order-book discipline via KPIs.
-Practical experience designing and sizing Kanban / pull systems and supermarket concepts; working knowledge of lean tools (VSM, 5S, root-cause problem solving).
-Assertive with suppliers and internal stakeholders; escalates with facts and follows through to closure.
-Proven track record leading materials planning and tactical purchasing in a manufacturing plant.
-Demonstrated MRP / planning discipline: able to govern master data and drive adherence to system recommendations.
-Measurable results in material availability and inventory reduction at the same time.
-Experience leading or sponsoring improvement or system projects (preferably including an MRP or ERP-related rollout) with tangible, measured results.
-Experience leading a purchasing / planning team and developing individual team members.
-Fluent in Spanish; able to work daily on-site and collaborate with North America leadership in English.
-Hands-on, pragmatic, data-driven, resilient, and collaborative; comfortable in a factory environment.
