About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly diligent and experienced Resident Construction Engineer for large-scale projects in Hermosillo, Sonora . This critical on-site role involves direct supervision and management of construction activities to ensure projects are executed in strict accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering, practical site management experience, and the ability to lead and coordinate various construction teams and subcontractors effectively. You will be the primary point of contact for site operations, ensuring smooth progress and problem resolution. This is an essential position for ensuring the successful delivery of significant construction endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for large-scale projects. Ensure that construction work strictly adheres to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor and enforce all safety regulations and implement site-specific safety plans. Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor forces. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed elements. Manage site logistics, including material delivery, storage, and equipment deployment.



Liaise with project managers, designers, and clients regarding site progress and issues. Maintain daily site reports, documenting progress, resources used, and any incidents or challenges. Ensure efficient use of project resources and timely resolution of site-related problems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Site Supervisor on significant construction projects. Proven experience in overseeing complex construction operations on-site. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures. Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Experience working in the Hermosillo, Sonora area is preferred. Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
