About the Role

Our client, a leader in the transition to clean energy, is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Systems Integration Engineer. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in Mexico. You will focus on the technical challenges associated with integrating diverse renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, along with energy storage systems, into the existing power grid. Your role will involve analyzing grid impact, developing interconnection strategies, and ensuring compliance with grid codes and technical standards. We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative engineer with a deep understanding of power systems and renewable energy technologies. Key Responsibilities

- Perform technical studies for the interconnection of renewable energy projects to the grid.
- Analyze grid stability, power quality, and fault current impacts of renewable energy integration.
- Develop technical requirements and specifications for grid interconnection equipment.
- Collaborate with grid operators, developers, and equipment manufacturers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes, standards, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support project commissioning.




- Stay informed about advancements in grid integration technologies and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, interconnection studies, and project documentation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on renewable energy integration.
- Strong knowledge of power system analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, and transient stability studies.
- Experience with grid interconnection studies and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind) and energy storage systems.
- Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment.
- Understanding of Mexican grid codes and regulations is highly desirable.
