Role Description The Sr. Databricks Developer role is a remote contract position focused on building and optimizing data solutions using Databricks and related cloud data technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing scalable data pipelines, implementing ETL/ELT processes, and managing data ingestion from various sources into the Databricks environment. The role involves collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and ensure data models support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases. The Sr. Databricks Developer will monitor and troubleshoot jobs, optimize performance and costs, apply data quality and governance standards, and document solutions and best practices.



This position may also mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of Inti’s data engineering frameworks and metho dologies. Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (workspaces, clusters, jobs), including Spark-based data engineering and optimization
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and related services such as data lakes, data warehouses, and storage solutions
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling (e.g., star schema, dimensional modeling), and batch/streaming data architectures
• Background in data quality, data governance, and performance tuning for large-scale datasets
• Ability to work directly with business and analytics stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD practices, and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience in a senior data engineering or Databricks-focused role, preferably within consulting or multi-client
• 8 years minimum experience
