• 10+ years of experience in SDET, test automation engineering, software development, or related automation roles.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript coding experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep experience designing and architecting automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong UI/web automation expertise, with the environment approximately 70% UI / 30% API automation.
• Ability to define the technical architecture and approach for automation.
• Strong experience building automated regression, integration, and end-to-end testing solutions.
• Strong experience integrating automation into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API and backend testing, including REST/GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SDLC, Agile, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience using AI coding tools for automation development, such as Cursor or Kiro. Plusses
• eCommerce experience, including checkout, payments, loyalty, or guest-facing applications.
• BrowserStack experience. Sauce Labs experience is also relevant.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role responsible for automation architecture, framework design, coding, and CI/CD integration. • Lead the design and architecture of automation frameworks and testing solutions.
• Establish the technical approach and direction for UI and API automation.
• Remain hands-on with coding and automation development.
• Design and maintain scalable automated regression and end-to-end test suites.
• Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Developers, QA, Product, and DevOps on overall quality strategy.
• Troubleshoot complex automation and application issues.
• Improve framework scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Drive increased automation coverage and reduced manual regression testing
