About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Coordinador de Limpieza y Desinfección en Instalaciones Sanitarias to lead their sanitation efforts at a major medical facility in Cancún, Quintana Roo . This crucial role demands a deep understanding of infection control, specialized cleaning protocols for healthcare environments, and effective team management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all cleaning and disinfection procedures to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and patient safety. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce stringent cleaning and disinfection protocols for all areas of the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, operating theatres, labs, and common spaces. Supervise, train, and manage a team of cleaning and sanitation technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with infection control standards and identify areas for improvement. Manage the inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and specialized equipment. Ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of all chemicals and biohazardous waste according to regulations. Collaborate with medical staff, administration,



and safety officers to address specific sanitation needs and concerns. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff training, and compliance audits. Respond promptly and effectively to any contamination or biohazard incidents. Stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in healthcare sanitation and infection control. Foster a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement within the sanitation department.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cleaning and sanitation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a healthcare or hospital setting. In-depth knowledge of hospital-grade disinfectants, cleaning equipment, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and other relevant healthcare sanitation guidelines. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Proficiency in using cleaning management software and Microsoft Office. High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in healthcare environmental services is highly preferred. Ability to work adaptable hours, including occasional on-call duties. Physical ability to perform inspections and tasks in a demanding environment.
