About the Role Our client is seeking a seasoned Regulatory Affairs Lawyer to join their esteemed legal department on a fully remote basis. This role is designed for a legal expert who can navigate the complex landscape of regulatory compliance across various industries. You will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes, advising on compliance strategies, and ensuring the company meets all legal and regulatory obligations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential regulatory risks and developing effective mitigation plans. The opportunity to work remotely allows for unparalleled flexibility while contributing to critical compliance functions. Although the role is based in Mexicali, Baja California, it operates on a completely remote model.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the company's operations.
Develop and implement robust compliance programs and policies.
Provide expert legal advice on regulatory requirements and potential impacts.
Conduct regulatory risk assessments and internal audits.
Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and applications.
Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies.
Advise on product compliance, environmental regulations, and data protection laws.




Manage investigations into potential regulatory breaches and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) with a specialization or significant experience in regulatory law.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or related legal fields.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks in Mexico (e.g., industry-specific, environmental, data privacy).
Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and advise on compliance strategies.
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
High ethical standards and attention to detail.
Fluency in English is advantageous for understanding international regulations.
