About the Role Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Asesor de Comercio Exterior Logístico to join their team. This hybrid role, based in Mexicali, Baja California, MX , focuses on navigating the complexities of international trade and ensuring smooth cross-border logistics operations. The adecuado candidate will possess a deep understanding of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international shipping practices. You will be instrumental in advising the company on best practices, ensuring compliance, and optimizing international supply chains to mitigate risks and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
Manage and oversee import and export documentation and processes.
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade operations.
Analyze and optimize international logistics costs and lead times.
Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of cross-border logistics.
Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales, procurement) and external partners on trade-related matters.
Conduct training sessions on trade compliance for relevant personnel.




Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to international shipments and customs clearance.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in international trade, customs brokerage, or logistics with a focus on cross-border operations.
In-depth knowledge of Mexican and relevant international customs regulations and procedures.
Experience with import/export documentation and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in relevant software systems for trade management and logistics.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site tasks.
Familiarity with trade agreements (e.g., USMCA) is essential.
Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico .
