Based in Mexicali, Baja California, MX , this role will focus on developing and implementing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to protect crops and enhance agricultural productivity. You will work closely with farmers, agronomists, and researchers to identify pest issues, recommend effective control methods, and monitor their impact. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for strategic remote analysis and planning alongside essential fieldwork and on-site client consultations in the region. Key Responsibilities Conduct field assessments to identify and diagnose agricultural pests and diseases.
Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs tailored to specific crops and regions.
Recommend appropriate pest control methods, including biological, cultural, and chemical controls, prioritizing sustainability.
Monitor pest populations and disease incidence, providing timely reports and action plans.
Advise growers on best practices for pest prevention, monitoring, and control.
Stay updated on the latest research, regulations, and technologies in pest management.




Collaborate with research teams on trials for new pest control products and strategies.
Provide training and technical support to farm staff on pest identification and management techniques.
Maintain accurate records of pest surveys, control measures, and outcomes.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, or a related agricultural science field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural pest management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of insect pests, plant diseases, and beneficial organisms affecting agricultural crops.
Understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and practices.
Excellent observational and diagnostic skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
Ability to work independently in field conditions and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in relevant software for data collection and reporting.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Mexicali, Baja California, MX area.
