About the Role
Our client, a prominent industrial group in Mexicali, Baja California , is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Jefe de Línea de Producción (Automatización) . This key leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume production line, with a strong emphasis on implementing and managing automated systems. The adecuado candidate will have extensive experience in managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and leveraging technology to enhance productivity and quality. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving efficiency and ensuring adherence to strict production schedules and safety protocols. As the head of the production line, you will play a vital role in the company's operational success in the thriving industrial landscape of Mexicali, Baja California .

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities on the assigned line, ensuring targets are met.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of production operators, supervisors, and technicians.

Implement and maintain automated systems and technologies to improve production efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Monitor production performance metrics, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures throughout the production process.

Develop and manage production schedules in coordination with planning and logistics departments.

Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment, prioritizing automation systems.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.





Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize operational costs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related field.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Demonstrated experience with industrial automation systems (e.g., PLC, robotics, SCADA).

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.

Proven ability to manage teams and foster a collaborative work environment.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Proficiency in relevant software, including ERP systems and MS Office Suite.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Mexicali, Baja California.
