Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of vertical farms, ensuring optimal production and quality standards.
Develop and implement strategic plans for crop cycles, resource management, and yield maximization.
Monitor and control environmental parameters (light, temperature, humidity, CO2, water, nutrients) using sophisticated automation systems.
Manage a remote team, providing guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Coordinate with supply chain, logistics,



and sales departments to ensure efficient product flow from farm to market.
Lead initiatives for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
Maintain comprehensive operational records and generate detailed performance reports.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in operations management within the agricultural sector, with at least 2 years specifically in vertical farming or controlled environment agriculture (CEA).
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex hydroponic or aeroponic systems.
Strong understanding of plant physiology, crop science, and pest/disease management in CEA.
Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills, adapted for remote environments.
Experience with automation systems, IoT devices, and farm management software.
Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
