About the Role Our client, a provider of innovative agricultural solutions, is seeking a dedicated Especialista en Sistemas de Riego Agrícola for their operations in Morelia, Michoacán, MX. This role is focused on the design, installation, optimization, and maintenance of efficient irrigation systems for various agricultural applications. You will work with growers to assess their needs, recommend appropriate technologies (drip, sprinkler, sub-surface), and ensure systems are performing optimally to conserve water and maximize crop yields. While this role requires a strong on-site presence for fieldwork and client interaction in Morelia, Michoacán, MX, remote consultation and design tasks may be integrated into the workflow. Key Responsibilities Design efficient irrigation systems based on crop requirements, soil type, topography, and water availability.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of irrigation systems.
Conduct regular assessments and performance evaluations of existing irrigation infrastructure.
Optimize irrigation schedules and water application rates using best practices and technology.
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to pumps, pipes, emitters, controllers, and other irrigation components.
Educate growers on water management techniques and the benefits of efficient irrigation.
Stay updated on advancements in irrigation technology, water conservation methods, and relevant regulations.




Prepare technical reports, proposals, and maintenance logs.
Collaborate with other agricultural specialists to ensure integrated farm management.
Requirements Technical degree or certification in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related field.
Proven experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of agricultural irrigation systems.
Strong understanding of water management principles, hydraulics, and irrigation technologies (drip, sprinkler, etc.).
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., CAD, irrigation design tools) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and practical skills.
Good communication and customer service skills to effectively work with growers.
Ability to work independently in field conditions and manage project timelines.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Morelia, Michoacán, MX region.
Knowledge of water conservation techniques and sustainable agriculture practices is desirable.
