About the Role Our client, an acclaimed boutique hotel nestled in the heart of historic Oaxaca City, Oaxaca , is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Jefe de Recepción y Conserjería. This role is crucial for creating a welcoming and seamless experience for every guest, reflecting the rich culture and exceptional service standards of the hotel. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage the daily operations of the front desk and concierge services, ensuring efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Lead, train, and motivate the reception and concierge team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, and special requests with accuracy and courtesy.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for guests, providing recommendations for local attractions, dining, and transportation in Oaxaca .
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local events, and area attractions to enhance the guest experience.




Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth communication and coordinated service delivery.
Implement and uphold hotel standards for service, appearance, and operation of the front desk.
Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk or guest services supervisory role within the hospitality sector, preferably in a boutique hotel setting.
Excellent command of both Spanish and English (written and spoken); knowledge of local indigenous languages is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and reservation systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for Mexican culture and a desire to share it with guests visiting Oaxaca City .
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
