Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced and strategic Jefe de Adquisiciones y Proveedores to lead their procurement operations in Puebla, Puebla, MX. This critical role will oversee all aspects of the purchasing process, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management and inventory control. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust procurement strategies that align with the company's growth objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of all necessary materials and services. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, deep market knowledge, and a proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Responsabilidades Clave

Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to meet the company's needs for raw materials, equipment, and services.

Lead the sourcing and selection of new suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments.

Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings and value.

Manage existing supplier relationships, ensuring performance, quality standards, and adherence to contractual obligations.

Oversee inventory management and work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure continuity of supply.

Implement and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals,



fostering their development and ensuring efficient operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and finance, to align procurement activities with business goals.

Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance for senior management.

Requisitos

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.

Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chains and related processes.

Excellent knowledge of market dynamics and supplier landscape, particularly within relevant industries.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment in Puebla, Puebla, MX.

Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English.
