About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing construction and development firm specializing in public and private infrastructure projects, is actively seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join their team based in Toluca, State of Mexico . This is an excellent entry-level position for a recent graduate or an engineer with 1-3 years of experience who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in a variety of civil engineering disciplines, including site development, transportation, and utilities. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the design, planning, and execution of significant infrastructure initiatives. The role demands a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow within a professional engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for infrastructure projects under the supervision of senior engineers.
Conduct site investigations and data collection to support project planning and design.
Perform quantity take-offs and assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
Assist in the monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Help in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
Collaborate with team members to resolve design and construction issues.
Learn and apply relevant codes, standards,



and regulations to project work.
Support the coordination with permitting agencies and other stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to team discussions.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
0-3 years of relevant internship or professional experience in civil engineering.
Basic understanding of engineering principles related to site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and basic knowledge of GIS is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a challenging environment.
Knowledge of relevant Mexican engineering standards and practices is beneficial.
Must be authorized to work in Mexico.
