Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
Investigate and analyze escalated security incidents, identifying root causes and impact.
Perform threat hunting activities to proactively discover advanced threats.
Develop and refine detection rules and signatures.
Document incident details, findings, and remediation actions.
Collaborate with SOC Level 1 analysts and other security teams.




Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
Contribute to the development and updating of incident response playbooks.
Assist in the tuning and optimization of security tools.
Participate in post-incident reviews and provide recommendations.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a SOC environment or similar cybersecurity role.
Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack).
Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and security protocols.
Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware, and threat actor tactics.
Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCIH) are a plus.
