About the Role
Our client, a prestigious aerospace engineering firm, is looking for an imaginative and experienced Structural Design Engineer to join their team in the vibrant city of Cancún, Quintana Roo. This role is central to the design and analysis of aircraft structures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, integrity, and performance under extreme operational conditions. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of structural design, from conceptualization and preliminary design through to detailed analysis and manufacturing support. The adecuado candidate possesses a strong background in structural mechanics, finite element analysis (FEA), and materials science, coupled with proficiency in CAD/CAE software. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, contributing to innovative solutions for a variety of aircraft programs. Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze primary and secondary aircraft structures using advanced CAD/CAE tools.

Perform structural analysis, including stress, fatigue, and fracture mechanics, using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.

Develop and optimize structural designs for weight reduction and improved performance.

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.

Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

Support testing activities and analyze test results to validate structural integrity.





Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AMS, MIL-STD) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).

Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise on structural issues.

Investigate and resolve structural anomalies encountered during testing or in-service.

Stay current with advancements in materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis techniques.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design and analysis within the aerospace industry.

Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS).

Experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).

Strong understanding of materials science, mechanics of materials, and fatigue/fracture principles.

Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and relevant industry standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Fluent in Spanish; proficiency in English is beneficial.
