About the Role

Our client, a premier beachfront resort in the vibrant **Cancún, Quintana Roo, MX**, is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of resort operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving profitability, and maintaining the resort's reputation as a top-tier destination. The General Manager will lead a diverse team, manage budgets, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the resort's offerings and market position.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all daily operations of the resort, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, recreation, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve financial targets and operational excellence.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction are consistently met.
- Manage, train, and motivate all resort staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Control operational costs, manage budgets, and maximize revenue streams.
- Oversee marketing and sales efforts to attract and retain guests.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.





Requirements

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in hospitality management, with at least 5 years as a General Manager of a resort or large hotel.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex resort operations and driving profitability.
- Extensive knowledge of all hotel departments and operational best practices.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Experience working in international tourism markets, particularly in **Cancún, Quintana Roo, MX**, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work a versátil schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and a passion for the hospitality industry.
