About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Electrical Power Transmission Specialist to join their esteemed engineering department. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, based in the vibrant city of Zapopan, Jalisco . You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the electrical power transmission infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety across our operations. This position requires a deep understanding of high-voltage systems, grid stability, and power flow analysis. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the energy distribution network, supporting the company's growth and commitment to providing consistent power supply. Key Responsibilities

- Design, plan, and implement upgrades to the high-voltage transmission network.
- Monitor power flow and system stability to prevent outages and ensure operational continuity.
- Conduct technical studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and transient stability assessments.
- Collaborate with grid operators and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Manage maintenance schedules and oversee repair operations for transmission equipment.




- Analyze fault data and develop corrective actions to improve system reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and reporting.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in power system analysis and transmission engineering.
- Solid understanding of power system protection principles and equipment (e.g., circuit breakers, relays, transformers).
- Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory DIgSILENT).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., CFE standards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems is an advantage.
