Job SummaryWe are seeking a precise, analytical, and highly articulate Remote Technical Legal Writer to support our growing immigration and defense practices.

In this role, you will be responsible for drafting compelling narrative declarations, assembling factual legal arguments, synthesizing complex evidentiary records, and drafting clear legal documentation under attorney supervision. If you have advanced English proficiency and excel at turning detailed personal stories and legal facts into structured, high-caliber written work, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Transform client interview notes, testimonies, and rough translations into compelling, coherent, and grammatically polished formal declarations in English (e.g., Asylum, VAWA, Hardship Waivers).
- Draft statements of facts, letters of support, cover letters, and index of exhibits for administrative filings and court packets.
- Conduct targeted research on country conditions, human rights reports, and corroborating sources to support legal arguments.
- Review existing case filings, forms, and client narratives to eliminate grammatical errors, tone inconsistencies, and ambiguities.
- Coordinate remotely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure all written deliverables align strictly with case strategy and strict filing deadlines.





Qualifications

- Language Proficiency: Advanced/Fluent English (C1/C2 level) in both written and spoken communication is strictly required. Exceptional grammar, syntax, and narrative pacing are essential.
- Prior experience in legal writing, academic writing, journalism, translation, or technical copywriting. Direct immigration law drafting experience is a major plus.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to read complex transcripts, identify key facts, and synthesize them into cohesive, persuasive written narratives.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to proofreading, citations, document organization, and formatting standards.
- Reliability & Tech Setup: Reliable high-speed internet connection, a dedicated home office workspace, and comfort working across digital tools (Google Workspace, practice management software, etc.).
- Spanish Proficiency (Preferred): Spanish reading/comprehension skills to translate source materials or notes directly into formal English is highly advantageous.
