About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director(a) de Servicios de Apoyo Psicosocial to lead and expand critical mental health and well-being services in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca . This senior leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of psychosocial support programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally sensitive care to diverse populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, program development, staff supervision, and fostering collaborations with community organizations and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic plans for the provision of psychosocial support services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all psychosocial programs, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor a team of mental health professionals, social workers, and support staff.
- Ensure programs are culturally competent, trauma-informed, and responsive to the specific needs of the Oaxacan communities.
- Develop and manage program budgets, including resource allocation and financial oversight.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local healthcare facilities, government agencies, educational institutions, and community groups.
- Lead efforts in grant writing, fundraising, and resource development to support program sustainability and expansion.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of program data to evaluate outcomes and inform program improvements.




- Develop and deliver training programs for staff and community members on mental health topics.
- Serve as a key advocate for mental health services within the community and at policy levels.

Requirements

- Doctorate or Master's degree in Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatry, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mental health services, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Extensive experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation within the psychosocial support sector.
- Deep understanding of mental health challenges, cultural contexts, and community needs in Oaxaca.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, training, and professional development.
- Proven ability in budget management, fundraising, and grant writing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and Zapotec or other indigenous languages of Oaxaca is highly desirable.
- Licensure as a mental health professional in Mexico is required.
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and evidence-based interventions.
