Sourcing Specialist (Electronic Components)

Alegro Industries is a global independent distributor of electronic components with over 30 years of experience serving customers worldwide. We are expanding our Guadalajara operations and seeking a motivated Sourcing Specialist to support supplier development, procurement activities, and global sourcing initiatives.

This position is adecuado for someone who enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, identifying inventory opportunities, and working in a fast-paced international environment.

What You'll DoSupplier Sourcing & Development

- Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers globally.
- Build relationships with OEMs, distributors, brokers, and trading partners.
- Expand supplier networks to improve pricing, availability, and sourcing options.
- Evaluate supplier performance and reliability.

Procurement & Negotiation

- Request and analyze supplier quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and supply agreements.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through ERP systems.
- Support purchasing strategies that maximize profitability and inventory availability.

Electronic Components Sourcing

- Source electronic components and excess inventory from global suppliers.
- Identify alternative sources for shortages and hard-to-find components.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and component availability.
- Support customer RFQs with competitive sourcing solutions.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to fulfill customer requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Resolve shortages, delayed shipments, and supply chain disruptions.
- Develop sourcing strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.

Systems & Reporting





- Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP systems.
- Prepare supplier comparisons, cost analyses, and sourcing reports.
- Utilize Excel and sourcing tools to support decision-making.

Basic RequirementsExperience

- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
- Experience working with international suppliers.
- Experience issuing and managing purchase orders.

Preferred Experience

- Electronic components sourcing.
- OEM, EMS, manufacturing, or electronic distribution environments.
- Excess inventory procurement.
- Global supplier management.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, BizNet, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Language Skills

- Advanced English proficiency (C1 preferred).
- Ability to communicate professionally with international suppliers.
