About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is seeking an innovative Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Mérida, Yucatán . This role is integral to developing and deploying advanced machine learning models that power our client's cutting-edge products and services. You will work on challenging problems, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of in-office collaboration in Mérida and remote flexibility. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to bring AI-driven solutions to life. The adecuado candidate is passionate about AI, possesses strong coding skills, and has practical experience in building and deploying ML systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Implement data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.

Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and efficiency in production.

Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ML models into existing applications and platforms.

Design and conduct experiments to test and validate model performance.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence research.

Contribute to the design and architecture of ML pipelines and infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML model performance and deployment.





Document ML models, processes, and results clearly and concisely.

Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

2+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role.

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Solid understanding of core machine learning algorithms and concepts.

Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).

Experience with data versioning and experiment tracking tools is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively in Mérida's collaborative environment.

Experience in a hybrid work setting is beneficial.
