About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Asesor Legal de Cumplimiento Normativo (Remoto) to join their expanding legal department. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mexico. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across the organization, with a particular emphasis on data privacy, anti-corruption, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in mitigating legal risks and fostering a culture of compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program.
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the business and advising on necessary actions.
Conduct internal investigations and audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters, including data protection, anti-bribery, and ethical conduct.
Draft and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Manage relationships with external regulators and government agencies.
Advise business units on compliance risks associated with new products, services, and market expansions.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare regular reports for senior management.



Requirements Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from a recognized university.
Master's degree or specialization in Compliance, Corporate Law, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within a corporate legal department or specialized law firm.
Strong knowledge of Mexican laws and regulations concerning data privacy (e.g., LFPDPPP), anti-corruption (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act implications), and corporate governance.
Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting risk assessments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential for international aspects of compliance.
