JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supplier Order Management Planner is a key strategic role responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing operations through flawless execution of the supplier ordering process. This position requires an autonomous, highly analytical professional with deep SAP expertise to balance inventory levels, optimize cash flow, and manage relationship metrics with global suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and release purchase orders for production materials, ensuring appropriate lead times to maximize plant operating efficiency.
- Analyze daily inventory availability (Days of Supply) to meet production schedules, maximize cash flow, and increase inventory turnover.
- Proactively monitor the supply chain to eliminate manufacturing downtime and eradicate extra expenses from premium freights.
- Partner closely with the supplier base to anticipate bottlenecks, prevent delivery disruptions, and manage recovery plans.
- Actively participate in engineering change management to smoothly phase components in and out, eliminating financial exposure from obsolete inventory.
- Own and report operational metrics including OTIF (On-Time In-Full),



inventory target variations, and transit costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in Material Planning, Production Control, or Supplier Order Management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Automotive preferred).
- Bilingual (English & Spanish). Must be fully capable of negotiating and handling complex issues with international suppliers.

Technical Skills

- ERP System: Advanced SAP user
- MS Office (Excel, Word).

Soft Skills

- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Data-driven mindset with sharp analytical thinking.
- High sense of urgency and resilience under pressure.
