About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is seeking an innovative Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Mérida, Yucatán . This role is integral to developing and deploying advanced machine learning models that power our client's cutting-edge products and services. You will work on challenging problems, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment in production environments. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of in-office collaboration in Mérida and remote flexibility. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to bring AI-driven solutions to life. The idóneo candidate is passionate about AI, possesses strong coding skills, and has practical experience in building and deploying ML systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Implement data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and efficiency in production.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ML models into existing applications and platforms.
- Design and conduct experiments to test and validate model performance.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence research.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of ML pipelines and infrastructure.




- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML model performance and deployment.
- Document ML models, processes, and results clearly and concisely.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of core machine learning algorithms and concepts.
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Experience with data versioning and experiment tracking tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively in Mérida's collaborative environment.
- Experience in a hybrid work setting is beneficial.
