About the Role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Mexicali, Baja California, MX , is seeking an experienced and highly organized Supervisor of Cleaning and Sanitary Maintenance for hospital environments. This critical role ensures that all healthcare facilities meet the strictest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to prevent infections and ensure patient safety. The successful candidate will lead a team of cleaning professionals, overseeing daily operations, implementing protocols, and ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning and sanitation team in hospital wards, operating rooms, laboratories, and common areas.
- Develop, implement, and enforce rigorous cleaning and disinfection protocols in accordance with hospital policies and public health guidelines.
- Train new cleaning staff on proper techniques, use of equipment, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure all areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Respond promptly to cleaning-related emergencies and spills, particularly those involving biohazardous materials.
- Collaborate with hospital administration, infection control specialists,



and other department heads to address any sanitation concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, supply usage, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to healthcare facility sanitation.

Requirements

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cleaning supervision, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital cleaning procedures, sterilization techniques, and infection control principles.
- Experience with various cleaning equipment and specialized disinfectants.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work adaptable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma required; certification in healthcare environmental services or a related field is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Spanish and basic English is beneficial.
