About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled Especialista en Aviónica y Sistemas de Navegación to join their growing aviation division in Mexicali, Baja California . This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of complex avionics and navigation systems across our fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cutting-edge electronic equipment. This hybrid position offers a dynamic blend of on-site work, essential for hands-on technical tasks, and remote flexibility for planning and documentation, reflecting a modern approach to aviation maintenance. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, calibrate, test, and maintain a variety of avionics and navigation equipment, including GPS, transponders, communication systems, and flight management systems (FMS).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in complex electronic circuits and systems, utilizing test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components and wiring, adhering to strict technical specifications and regulatory guidelines.
- Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams to understand system architecture and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure all work performed complies with aviation authority regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance personnel as needed.




- Stay abreast of new technologies and advancements in avionics and navigation systems.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for avionics systems.

Requirements

- Associate's degree or technical certification in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in avionics installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proven experience with a wide range of avionics equipment from various manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of electronic principles, RF theory, and digital systems.
- Proficiency in using specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with relevant aviation regulations (e.g., DGAC, FAA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Adaptability to work in both on-site workshop environments and a remote setting for administrative tasks.
