About the Role

Our client, a prominent name in the real estate development and construction industry, is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Jefe de Obra / Gerente de Construcción. This role, operating under a hybrid work model, is central to overseeing construction projects in and around the dynamic metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Jalisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. A strong background in site supervision, team leadership, and problem-solving on construction sites is essential. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and environmental regulations on the construction site.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure the quality of workmanship meets or exceeds project standards and client expectations.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to address site-specific concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
- Control site costs and manage materials procurement effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.





Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction site management, project supervision, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing various types of construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse site workforce.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in construction management software and basic office applications.
- Experience with the construction landscape in Guadalajara, Jalisco is highly desirable.
- Must be comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing site responsibilities with office coordination.
