About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge research organization, is seeking a Senior Natural Language Processing (NLP) Researcher to join their globally distributed team. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in AI from the comfort of your home, potentially based near Puebla, Puebla. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating novel NLP models and techniques to extract insights, understand context, and generate human-like text from complex data sources. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct state-of-the-art research in Natural Language Processing, focusing on areas such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, and text generation.
- Develop and implement advanced NLP models using deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, RNNs, LSTMs).
- Process and analyze large-scale text corpora to identify patterns and extract knowledge.
- Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to integrate NLP solutions into various applications and platforms.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of NLP models and algorithms.
- Publish research findings in top-tier NLP and AI conferences and journals.
- Stay abreast of the latest research trends and advancements in NLP and machine learning.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing.




- Contribute to the development of open-source NLP tools and libraries.
- Present research outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with a specialization in NLP.
- Minimum of 5 years of research experience in NLP, with a strong publication record in leading conferences and journals.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with NLP libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, and Gensim.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of linguistic principles and their application in NLP.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their fine-tuning is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, manage research projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
