Senior Accountant (Remote, Full-Time) We're a remote accounting and financial strategy firm serving growing small businesses, mostly marketing agencies. We handle our clients' books, payroll, and taxes, and we turn their numbers into clear insight through monthly summaries, KPI dashboards, and CFO-level advisory. We're hiring a Senior Accountant who brings more than accuracy: someone who thinks, questions, and takes initiative. What You'll Do
Own a portfolio of about 10 client accounts end to end: month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and monthly financial statements. Support tax preparation and filings. Perform monthly trend and variance analysis,



and lead CFO-level reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for higher-tier clients (about 40% of the work is this deeper analysis). Review AI-generated monthly financial summaries and challenge anything that doesn't match the numbers before it reaches a client. Spot red flags, trends, process gaps, and recurring errors, and bring them forward with a recommended next step. Join client calls alongside our leadership as the technical expert, answering questions and walking clients through their numbers. Track and manage team KPIs and client project timelines, keeping the Accounting Manager ahead of risks and deadlines, and closing open loops without being reminded. Serve as a technical resource for other accountants, and help improve our SOPs, processes, and internal tools as we grow. What You'll Bring 5–10 years of accounting experience managing multiple client accounts, including complex or higher-tier engagements, ideally at an accounting firm, outsourced provider, or fractional CFO practice. Hands-on experience with US-based businesses and US accounting practices. Advanced accounting skills and QuickBooks proficiency (required), with strong project management across multiple client deadlines. Strong financial analysis skills, including trend and variance analysis (required), plus budgeting and forecasting. Clear communication skills and strong professional English, written and spoken. You'll be on client calls regularly. A proven track record of initiative. Be ready to share specific examples of catching an error, questioning a number that didn't add up, or improving a process before anyone asked.
