About the Role

Our client, a vibrant arts organization based in the coastal city of Acapulco, Guerrero, MX , is seeking an energetic and experienced Coordinador de Programación Artística y Eventos Culturales. This role is crucial for developing and executing a diverse calendar of artistic events, performances, exhibitions, and cultural activities that engage the local community and visitors. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong network within the arts community, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating memorable cultural experiences. You will be responsible for curating artistic content, managing logistics, coordinating with artists and performers, and overseeing event execution. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive annual artistic and events program. Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with artists, performers, and cultural groups. Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, scheduling, venue coordination, and technical requirements. Manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and seeking cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and drive attendance. Ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, including artists, performers, and audiences. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for event needs (e.g., catering, A/V equipment, security).



Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Stay abreast of current trends in artistic programming and cultural event management. Maintain accurate records of programs, events, budgets, and participant information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Event Management, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in artistic programming and event coordination, preferably in a cultural or non-profit setting. Demonstrated experience in curating diverse artistic disciplines (e.g., music, dance, theater, visual arts). Strong understanding of event logistics, budgeting, and contract negotiation. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with artists and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative thinking and a passion for the arts. Fluency in Spanish; working knowledge of English is beneficial.
