About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Farmacéutico Especialista en Atención Primaria y Farmacovigilancia to join their dynamic team in Morelia, Michoacán . This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the community health setting. You will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, managing medication therapy, and actively monitoring for adverse drug reactions. Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients in primary care settings, including medication therapy management (MTM).
- Conduct medication reconciliation and ensure appropriate use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Establish and maintain a robust pharmacovigilance program, including the active reporting and analysis of adverse drug events (ADEs).
- Educate patients and healthcare providers on medication safety, proper usage, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Develop and implement protocols for medication safety and adherence improvement.




- Monitor trends in medication use and adverse events within the community.
- Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs within the primary care framework.
- Ensure compliance with national and international pharmacovigilance guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

- Licensed Pharmacist in Mexico with current registration.
- Advanced training or demonstrated experience in Primary Care Pharmacy and Pharmacovigilance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably in primary care.
- Thorough understanding of pharmacovigilance principles, including causality assessment and risk management.
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and pharmacovigilance databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on pharmaceutical advancements and safety concerns.
