About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering and consulting firm focused on sustainable building solutions, is seeking a highly specialized Arquitecto Técnico Especialista en Eficiencia Energética y Sostenibilidad for their operations in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua . This role is dedicated to advancing green building practices, conducting energy audits, and implementing sustainable design strategies in new and existing constructions. The idóneo candidate will have a deep technical understanding of building physics, renewable energy systems, and environmental certifications like LEED or EDGE. This position offers the chance to significantly contribute to the environmental performance of buildings and promote a more sustainable built environment in Northern Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive energy audits and building performance analyses to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Develop and implement sustainable design strategies, incorporating renewable energy sources and passive design techniques.
- Advise clients and project teams on the selection of energy-efficient materials and building systems.
- Manage the process of obtaining green building certifications (e.g., LEED, EDGE) for projects in Ciudad Juárez .
- Conduct simulations and modeling for thermal performance, daylighting, and energy consumption.
- Develop technical specifications and reports related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, regulations, and best practices in sustainable architecture and energy management.




- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective integration of sustainable features throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on sustainability best practices.

Requirements

- Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in building performance analysis, energy efficiency, and sustainable design.
- Proven experience with energy modeling software (e.g., eQuest, EnergyPlus, IES VE).
- Certified professional in a recognized green building rating system (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor).
- Strong understanding of building physics, HVAC systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Knowledge of local building codes and environmental regulations in Chihuahua .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
- Experience conducting energy audits and developing retrofit strategies.
