About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing bank in Puebla, Puebla , is seeking an accomplished and strategic Director de Operaciones Bancarias y Eficiencia . This hybrid role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of the bank, driving operational excellence, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service. The adecuado candidate will possess a deep understanding of banking processes, technology, and best practices in operational management. You will lead a team responsible for various operational functions, including back-office processing, customer service, and technology integration, ensuring seamless and compliant operations. This is a senior leadership position with significant impact on the bank's overall performance and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of the bank's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operational processes and workflows.
- Manage and lead teams across various operational departments, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies in operational activities.
- Drive the implementation of new banking technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Manage relationships with key third-party vendors and service providers.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing robust control measures.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
- An MBA or relevant master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in banking operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully driving operational efficiency and implementing cost-saving initiatives in a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in operational risk management, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and technology implementation.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in banking software and MS Office Suite.
