About the Role

Our client, a prominent bank in Guadalajara, Jalisco , is looking for a sharp and analytical Analista de Riesgos Financieros y Cumplimiento . This role is central to identifying, assessing, and monitoring financial risks across the institution, as well as ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, risk modeling, and regulatory frameworks within the banking sector. You will be responsible for developing risk reports, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and supporting compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities

- Identify, assess, and quantify various financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
- Develop and maintain risk models and methodologies for risk measurement and monitoring.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare regular risk reports and presentations for senior management and relevant committees.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to financial risk management.
- Collaborate with business units to implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the bank's risk profile.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.




- Participate in internal and external audits related to risk and compliance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial risk analysis, compliance, or a related area within the banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in risk modeling techniques and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
- Familiarity with banking regulations (e.g., Basel III, local regulatory requirements).
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Good communication skills in Spanish.
