About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly strategic Director de Comunicación Estratégica y Asuntos Públicos to lead their comprehensive communication and public affairs efforts in Querétaro City, Querétaro, MX . This executive role requires a visionary leader who can shape and execute strategies that enhance the company's reputation, influence public policy, and manage stakeholder relations effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of external communications, media relations, government relations, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. The idóneo candidate will possess a deep understanding of political and economic landscapes, a robust network of contacts, and the ability to navigate complex communication challenges. This is a critical leadership position with significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement integrated strategic communication and public affairs plans.
- Oversee media relations, ensuring positive and consistent coverage of the company.
- Manage relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry associations.
- Advise senior leadership on communication strategies, public perception, and policy implications.
- Develop and execute crisis communication and issues management strategies.
- Lead corporate social responsibility initiatives and communicate their impact.




- Represent the company in public forums and industry events.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company's operations.
- Build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders, including community leaders and NGOs.
- Manage the communication budget and team effectively.

Requirements

- Master's degree or PhD in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Communications, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic communications, public affairs, government relations, or corporate affairs, with significant leadership experience.
- Proven track record of successfully influencing public policy and managing corporate reputation.
- Extensive experience in media relations and crisis communications.
- Deep understanding of the Mexican political and regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong network of contacts within government, industry, and media circles.
