About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Especialista en Seguridad de Vuelo y Certificación to join their aviation operations team in Cancún, Quintana Roo. This hybrid role requires a meticulous individual with a deep understanding of aviation safety regulations, certification processes, and risk management. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aircraft and operational procedures meet the stringent requirements set forth by national and international aviation authorities. You will play a key role in developing and implementing safety policies, conducting audits, and managing the certification of aircraft and operational modifications. This position is vital for upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance within the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies.
- Manage the certification process for new aircraft, modifications, and operational procedures.
- Investigate safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to flight and ground personnel.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the company remains compliant with all applicable aviation laws.
- Prepare safety reports and documentation for submission to aviation authorities.




- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry organizations on safety matters.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or certification.
- In-depth knowledge of ICAO standards, national aviation regulations (e.g., DGAC), and EASA/FAA requirements.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in safety reporting software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and audits.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
